About Team-Bliss ICT

Team Bliss-ICT is our competitive youth rock climbing team. Team members compete at local, regional, divisional, and national USA Climbing championships in bouldering and roped climbing events.

Founded in 2016, Team Bliss-ICT is Wichita’s first and only competitive youth rock climbing team.

Lead by head coach Michael “Naise” Hellman with more than 20 years of climbing experience, along with his team of assistant coaches, our athletes are challenged to raise the bar on their personal climbing skills and goals, while developing perseverance, maturity, a strong work ethic and comradery among their team mates.

Climbing Team Mission

“Team Bliss-ICT is committed to teaching children and teens confidence, problem solving skills, and climbing technique and efficiency, along with the value of hard work in a passionate and supportive environment.”

Team Bliss-ICT Parent Booster Club

Our amazing team would not be possible without our Parent Booster Club.  Through regular meetings, communication with the Bliss leadership team, and fundraising efforts, they are able to help subsidize many of the competition fees, provide team shirts and duffle bags for team members, and keep the community updated on the team’s activities.

Quotes from Team Members Parents:

“As a parent I want my children to find something athletic to stay physically active and I have seen climbing do that for her, along with developing confidence that carries over to other aspects of her life.”

“He has finally found something that really engages his body and his mind while enjoying the comradery of the team atmosphere”
